Our Legacy of Inclusion and Empowerment
EPIC Delaware (Endless Possibilities in the Community) was established with a singular vision: to ensure adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities have the tools to live independent, self-determined lives. We operate as a 'community without walls,' shifting the paradigm from facility-based care to active community integration.
Our mission combines holistic health, wellness, and social engagement into a simplified support framework. By focusing on raising expectations and fostering self-advocacy, we help our members navigate their worlds with dignity. Every group activity we offer is a deliberate step toward greater integration and personal wellness within the Delaware community.
Under the leadership of Executive Director Kathryn Luebke, EPIC Delaware remains dedicated to the principles of total inclusion. We don't just provide services; we build foundations for independence, ensuring that every individual we serve is recognized as a valued and active member in the community we share.
A Fitness Community Without Walls
We empower adults with disabilities through inclusive health, wellness, and social programs, facilitating independent and self-determined lives within the community 'without walls'.
Breaking Barriers Through Inclusive Fitness
National and Delaware health data show that adults with disabilities are less likely to engage in regular physical activity and are more likely to experience chronic health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and depression. EPIC’s inclusive fitness programs help provide accessible opportunities for movement, wellness, and community through adaptive equipment, experienced staff, transportation support, and no-cost participation options.
